1. The graphite crucible must be stored in a dry place indoors or on a wooden frame. Do not place in damp place of earth brick ground, lest be affected with damp. Otherwise easy burst when using.

2. The crucible should be preheated and baked in the drying equipment or near the furnace before use, especially the damp crucible should be baked until dry before use. The baking temperature starts from the low temperature below 100oC, and gradually heats up. The moderate temperature reaches about 400oC, and the maximum temperature shall not exceed 500oc, otherwise it will promote the oxidation of crucible and affect its service life.

3. Handling should be handled with care, do not crash vibration, so as not to cause cracks. The crucible should be placed below the surface of the furnace opening to prevent the lid from wearing away the top of the crucible and affecting the capacity.

4. After the crucible is used, the remaining cold bottom (cold metal) in the crucible should be poured out, and then new materials should be put in. According to the crucible capacity, the crucible should not be overstuffed or stuffed too tightly to prevent the metal from thermal expansion, expansion and cracking.

5. The slag and coke blocks stuck on the inner and outer walls of the crucible should be removed by knocking gently to avoid damaging the crucible itself.

6. Do not put chloride flux in the melting process to avoid corrosion of crucible. Use oil, gas as fuel furnace, shan wind blowing mouth do not blow crucible fixed parts, should often change the direction of torsion, so as to avoid local damage.

7. The clamps and other tools used for baking shall conform to the shape of crucible. When coming out of the furnace, remove the sticky coke blocks around the outer wall of the crucible and let the furnace cool down a little. Do not rush to come out of the furnace at high temperature after stopping blowing. Clamps should be used to clamp the middle and upper part of the crucible, not clamping the opening to avoid cracking the crucible.
